The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that flushing, cleaning and inspection of sanitary and storm sewers will be conducted throughout the Town beginning Monday, May 12, 2025. The sanitary sewer mains will be flushed and cleaned using high-pressure water, and inspected using a closed circuit television system.
Residents should be aware that the high-pressure cleaning may empty drains and traps within nearby homes. In rare occasions, the pressure cleaning has resulted in water exiting drains and toilets. As a precaution, please ensure that toilet seats are closed, and that internal drains in sinks, tubs and floors are covered. There are no anticipated service outages as a result of this work.
After the work is complete, please run water in all plumbing fixtures, including sinks, showers, tubs, and toilets, to ensure that the traps are full.
