The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to remind residents that the public survey for Phase 1 of the Official Plan Review closes this Friday, April 29, 2022.
The survey can be accessed by visiting the project webpage. Paper copies are available upon request by calling (519) 599-3131 x 263 or by pickup at Town Hall and L.E Shore Library.
The Town would like to thank residents who have already completed the survey. Town Staff, working with Council and the community of the Town of The Blue Mountains, will use the results to help guide the Official Plan Review through the next phases of the project, where the updated vision statement and strategic direction will be confirmed.
“The feedback received so far has been outstanding with more than 480 responses,” says Paula Hope, Town Councillor and Chair of the Official Plan Review Steering Committee. “I encourage all residents to complete the survey. Your voice will help shape the future of our Town.”
About the Official Plan Review
The Town of The Blue Mountains is updating its Official Plan with ‘The Blue Print’. The main goals of Phase 1 of the Official Plan Review are:
- Review of the Official Plan Vision, Guiding Principles and Goals and Objectives
- Growth Management, Housing, Density Height and Character
- General Housekeeping Updates and Conformity with Upper Tier Planning Documents
When completed, the Official Plan will set the vision and direction that shapes the growth and development of the Town to the year 2046.
