ACC Presents: Tobermory Fishermen to Mongolian Eagle Hunters

On Thursday, October 12 at 7pm, join the award-winning artist and writer Allen Smutylo for a one-hour show and tell of some of the many places, cultures and themes that have acted as his creative muse. His talk will also explain the evolution, over the last half-century, of his approach with regard to the various mediums he has used.

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A. As well, signed copies of his books will be available.

Being a part of the Youth Engagement Committee (YEC) gives you a chance to suggest ways that the BMPL can better serve our youth community, offer ideas for exciting teen programs, and provide feedback about the library's teen collection. A great way to acquire your high school community involvement hours while having fun! The Youth Engagement Committee meets the second Thursday of the month.

Exhibit Launch: Divergence & Intersection

The Gallery at L.E. Shore is pleased to present “Divergence & Intersection”, featuring the talents of Ben Mark Holzberg and Kyle Haight! Launching September 30 with an open reception (2-4pm), the exhibit will run September 30 – November 1.

This October duo is an exciting pairing as they will challenge you to intersect with their divergent collections. Curated to play off each other, you will experience divergence between organic and urban, fantasy and life, science and nature.
