Every Child Matters: Scrunchie Project

When
-

Join us after school for an hour of reflection, solidarity, and creativity as we prepare for Orange Shirt Day. Together, we’ll make orange scrunchies—a simple but powerful way to honour the story of Phyllis Webstad and the many Indigenous children impacted by residential schools.

Orange symbolizes truth, healing, and remembrance. As we craft, we’ll take time to reflect on the meaning behind Orange Shirt Day and what it means to listen, learn, and stand together. You can even write your own special message of support or reflection on your scrunchie—something meaningful to you.

TBM Repair Café

We also share some social time, with coffee or a nice cup of tea and cookies. This adventure not only brings our community together to help our neighbours, it also lengthens the life of the items repaired/mended, diverts items going to our landfill and saves taxpayers money!
