Get ready to wiggle, sing, and play! Join Jennifer from Early ON for a fun and energetic music and movement program designed especially for toddlers and their caregivers. Through songs, dancing, and simple instruments, little ones will develop motor skills, rhythm, and confidence—all while having a blast!

For the month of September, we’ll be enjoying the fresh air and sunshine in the Courtyard. Perfect for ages 1 to 3. No registration needed, just bring your dancing shoes and smiles!

Our informal knitting club is open to enthusiasts of all skill levels, and we invite you to join us in our cozy and friendly space. All you need to bring are your needles and wool, and you'll have the perfect setting to knit, chat, and forge new friendships.

Kids Can-Candied Sushi Roll

Join us for a sweet and silly twist on a global favourite! Inspired by our Summer Reading Club theme: Around the World, we’re creating Candied Sushi—a hands-on dessert made with candy, marshmallows, and crispy rice cereal.

Roll, shape, and decorate your own delicious sushi treats—no chopsticks required! It’s the perfect mix of creativity and sugary fun.

Thornbury Flower Market

Brighten your summer with a visit to the Thornbury Flower Market, a brand-new outdoor market located in the Hester Street Parkette on Bruce Street South, brimming with freshly cut blooms. Held one Saturday a month on May 31, June 28, July 26, August 23, and September 20, this small yet vibrant event features 3-5 carefully selected artisans and local flower growers.

While you’re picking the perfect bouquet, make a day of it by exploring the charming boutiques, cozy cafes, and inviting restaurants that make Thornbury’s downtown so special.

Story Time at The Farmers Pantry

We’re in full summer swing—and The Blue Mountains Public Library has teamed up once again with the Farmer’s Pantry for a special Story Time on the Farm! Join us from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a fun-filled hour featuring stories, songs, rhymes, a simple craft, and some adorable furry friends!

Admission is free during Story Time, and it’s a drop-in program for ages 0–5. Don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat—we’ll be enjoying the great outdoors!

Explore the Night Sky with Us!
Mark your calendar for an out-of-this-world evening on Wednesday, August 14th at 7:30 PM at the L.E. Shore Library. We’re excited to welcome Chris Vaughan from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – Toronto Centre, who will guide us through an engaging presentation about the organization’s mission, its programs, the history of the Carr Observatory, and some of the most exciting recent discoveries in space.

Sidewalk Astronomy

Join us in the L.E. Shore Library parking lot for Sidewalk Astronomy with Chris Vaughan, also known as AstroGeoGuy! Weather permitting, Chris will guide you through a fascinating look at what you can see in the sky during the day. Using a special solar filter, you'll have the rare chance to safely observe the Sun's surface—spotting sunspots and other incredible solar activity up close.

Wired Wednesdays: AI and Energy Use: What to Know

Did you know AI uses a lot of electricity? Ashley will explore how AI tools impact energy consumption and the environment in a simple, easy-to-follow way.

Ashley will be available in the L.E. Shore Boardroom from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for 15-minute drop-in sessions to assist with minor tech issues. For more complex problems that may require additional time, 1-hour tech help appointments are available four days a week.
