Call for Volunteers for Community Shoreline Clean Up

The Town of The Blue Mountains is proud to support the organization, Georgian Bay Forever in its efforts to host community shoreline clean-up events at Little River Park in Thornbury.

In partnership, Pollinate TBM and The Blue Mountains Public Library is launching the Native Pollinator Courtyard and Canoe Garden! Stop by the L.E. Shore Library Courtyard on Friday, August 5th from 11:00am – 12:00pm to explore the native and pollinator plants in the Courtyard and Canoe Garden.

Every Friday at 11:00am, we will be hosting an engaging and fun Story Time outside (weather dependent) all summer long.

Meet us for stories, rhymes, movement songs and lots of FUN!

Ages 0-5. Registration required.

Meet Ian Wheelband from the RASC outdoors at the L.E. Shore Library Thursday, July 28th from 1-3pm for Sidewalk Astronomy.

This drop-in program is designed to catch people when they are not expecting it, and to have them look through a telescope, and then explain and discuss what they are seeing in the sky above.

Have a peek at solar flares, the moon, satellites, and Venus.

Every Tuesday in July, you can meet us at one of our local Town of The Blue Mountains parks as a part of BMPL's Summer Reading Program.

Register each week to pick up your Summer Reading Club Take and Make Kit, bring your SRC reading journals and bookmarks, and track your reading!

Can't make it to Hillcrest Park this week? No problem! Pick up a Take and Make kit at the L.E. Shore Library while supplies last! Remember to track your reading and visit us at the library to submit your SRC bookmarks for your chance to win super fun prizes all summer long! Adventure Awaits.

Join our Virtual Minecraft Summer Club! Play from home! Meet on our server to collaborate and build with other local fans.

Every Monday at 11am, starting July 11th. Meet on Zoom and Minecraft Realms (register below to receive links).

Participants must have an internet connection, a supported device, and the Minecraft game software/account.

Suggested age 8-13 years.

The Blue Mountains Public Library is out and about. We'll be hosting our annual Mailbox Parties again! Neighbours are invited to join the fun at the mailbox where you can browse books, learn about your Blue Mountains Public Library GLAM (gallery, library, archives & museum) and have a chance to connect, explore and create!
