Every Tuesday in July, you can meet us at one of our local Town of The Blue Mountains parks as a part of BMPL's Summer Reading Program.

Register each week to pick up your Summer Reading Club Take and Make Kit, bring your SRC reading journals and bookmarks, and track your reading!

Can't make it to Fireman's Park this week? No problem! Pick up a Take and Make kit at the L.E. Shore Library while supplies last! Remember to track your reading and visit us at the library to submit your SRC bookmarks for your chance to win super fun prizes all summer long! Adventure Awaits.

Leg Up Luau 4.5

Blues, 60s hits performed by Cabin Fever/ special guests. Live music, bar, dance, 50/50 draw, silent auction, door prizes!

Proceeds go to give a "Leg Up" to the Nicholson Family and Marsh Street Centre. Help us support Zack, Paula, Isabella, Chloe as they continue to battle cancer in their lives.

Mailbox Party

The Blue Mountains Public Library is out and about. We'll be hosting our annual Mailbox Parties again! Neighbours are invited to join the fun at the mailbox where you can browse books, learn about your Blue Mountains Public Library GLAM (gallery, library, archives & museum) and have a chance to connect, explore and create!

Wiggle Worms Wellness Group

When

During Wiggle Worms Wellness group with the Whimsical Tinkerer, families will be invited to connect to themselves and others in an intentional and playful way. They will be guided through various asana poses, meditations and reflections.

Caregivers are reminded that they must accompany children to this group.

Families are asked to bring their own yoga mats, one per person is suggested.

Registration is required. For parents and children ages 4-10.

Dorothy Crysler Bird Club

Join Curator Andrea Wilson as each month we learn about our wild avian friends, their habits and habitats. This will not only help you identify birds, but you will learn about migration, nesting, environmental needs, species at risk and more. This is a collaborative study group, where participants will share as we grow knowledge together.

The club is named for Dorothy Crysler, a remarkable local artist, journalist, author and birder! This club takes her cue, as she was "the messenger not the expert". This group is for anyone, new or established as a birder.

Teen Group: Young Adult Book Club

Do you enjoy a good book? Meeting new people? Socializing amongst your peers? If these are all things you enjoy doing, why not join BMPL Teen Group Young Adult Book Club?

Book talks will be happening the 3rd Thursday of every month from 6:00 - 7:00pm. We will chat about the books we have read and have some goodies!

Meet new people, find new authors, read GREAT BOOKS!

Registration required. Ages 15-18. Adherence to all provincial and Health Unit guidelines to be followed.

101 Things About the Craigleith Station Building

For 101 weeks the Craigleith Heritage Depot will post historical stories of the little Craigleith Station. From its inception in the late 1880s to its transformation into a museum, archive, and library. Through photographs, letters, journals, newspaper articles, and paintings join us in discovering how the small train station has changed over the decades to what it is today.

2022 Sea Otter Canada - Scarecrow Gravel Ride

The Scarecrow Gravel Ride comes in three sizes: a shorter 48km course, the medio 60km course and the full-length 88km course. All events will start in the expo area and progress along the Georgian Trail before heading into the rolling agricultural landscape of the Beaver Valley with challenging climbs and the reward of beautiful vistas.  The event routes extend from Blue Mountain Resort along the Georgian Trail and into the road and hills of the Beaver Valley.

After Hours Retro Teen Night

Come and hang out at the L.E. Shore Library, Thursday, July 7th after hours for a fun retro themed evening, specially designed for TEENS!

We will have some cool retro video games, board games, music, some epic snacks and a groovy time!

Teen Group

Join the Teen Group and have your say on Teen programs and services, become involved in your community, and meet new friends!

Being a part of the Teen Group gives you the chance to suggest ways that the BMPL can better serve our teen community, offer ideas for exciting teen programs, and provide feedback about the library's teen collection. Being a part of the BMPL Teen Group is a great way to acquire your High School community service hours while having fun!

Physical distancing and all health measures will be in effect.
