The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to provide residents with an update regarding the status of construction for the Thornbury Pier Resurfacing Project.
As of today, the contractor has completed all of the steel work and is now in the process of adding and compacting granular material. The next step will involve installing the pile caps and pouring the concrete pad. This work will be completed over the coming weeks.
“On behalf of the Town, I would like to thank all residents for their patience and understanding as we work diligently to complete this project,” explained Director of Community Services, Ryan Gibbons. “Unfortunately, the project has experienced unanticipated delays, but our focus remains committed to having the Pier open for public use as soon as possible.”
