A Public Information Centre is being held to present background information on the property, and to gather input from members of the public. All those interested in the project are invited to attend. The event will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Town of The Blue Mountains Town Hall, 32 Mill Street, Thornbury.

The Town of The Blue Mountains is seeking input from residents on the future of 130 King St. West!

The survey is open from April 11, 2025 until May 2, 2025. Paper copies are available upon request by calling (519) 599-3131 ext. 266 or through pickup at Town Hall and The Blue Mountains Public Library.

The Town of the Blue Mountains is exploring potential recreational uses for the 130 King Street West property in Thornbury. The property is 2.9 acres and is currently home to two outdoor tennis courts. 

The current Official Plan designation of this property is Primary Settlement Area and the zoning is Community Living Area. Possible recreational uses could include parkland, recreational facilities or a combination thereof. Prior to any development, an appropriate Official Plan Amendment and or Zoning Bylaw Amendment request will need to be passed for the use of the land.

Public Survey

A public survey was made available on Friday, April 11, 2025. The survey's aim is to gather input from residents on future potential recreational uses for the property. The survey will close on May 2, 2025.
