The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that the Recommendation Papers for Phase 2 of the Official Plan Review have been posted to the project webpage. In addition, the Statutory Public Meeting and Statutory Open House have been scheduled for this Fall to provide public engagement and comment opportunities.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public a temporary road closure. Long Point Road will be closed in the area of 135 Long Point Road on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. This closure is to allow a contractor to complete a water lateral installation on behalf of the Town. The road is closed to all through traffic, with a detour available via Brophy's Lane.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of ongoing temporary lane restrictions. Sideroad 33 will have alternating lane restrictions in place between Duncan Street and The Blue Mountains - Meaford Townline from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to inform the public of a Provincial Transportation Project that has been recently announced focusing on multiple locations on Highway 26 within the Town's boundaries. 

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public an upcoming temporary road closure. Sideroad 33 will be closed from Duncan Street to the 11th Line on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, weather permitting. This closure is to allow the Town's Roads and Drainage Division to complete a culvert replacement. The road will be closed to all through traffic.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of two emergency temporary road closures. Sideroad 33 will be closed from Duncan Street to The Blue Mountains - Meaford Townline, and 11th Line will be closed from Sideroad 33 to McGuire Lane on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. Bay Street East in Thornbury will be closed between Elgin Street and Grey Street on Tuesday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This closure is to allow the Town's Water Division to repair a broken water main.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that a Request for Proposals (RFP) process is currently underway seeking a consultant to support the design and construction of the New Craigleith Fire Hall #2. The deadline for completed RFPs was May 30, 2024. Award of the contract is expected in late June or early July.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to provide an update on an ongoing temporary road closure. Victoria Street South in Thornbury will be closed between Alfred Street and Ashbury Court from Wednesday, June 5 to Friday, August 16.
