The Town of The Blue Mountains and Town of Collingwood are excited to announce the launch of their Joint Multi-Use Recreation Feasibility Assessment (MURFA), awarding the consulting contract to Colliers Project Leaders. 

The Joint Assessment will assess the current and future recreational facility needs of residents from both communities and will also explore integrating library services into a multi-use model, as has proven effective in several municipalities across the province. 

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary lane restriction. Vehicles will need to yield to oncoming traffic on 39th Sideroad southwest of Sunset Boulevard from Tuesday, May 28 to Friday, July 19. This is to allow Jameson Landscapes to complete ditching work.

During the month of May, The Town of The Blue Mountains is proud to recognize Building Safety Month to celebrate the dedication of the building industry to keep homes, buildings, and infrastructure safe.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. Grey Road 40 will be closed to all through traffic from Grey Road 7 to Grey Road 13 for installation of a new culvert. The closure is scheduled to be in effect starting Monday, May 13, and may remain in place until Wednesday, May 15 (weather dependent).

The Town of The Blue Mountains has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) to complete a Wastewater Master Plan. This study is being conducted according to the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the MCEA process which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. Sunset Boulevard in Lora Bay will be closed to all through traffic from Beacon Drive to 275 Sunset Boulevard for installation of a new culvert related to the Lora Bay Drainage Improvements project.

The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce that the 2024 intake period for applications to the Town's Community Improvement Plans will open on Monday, March 11, 2024. Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 19, 2024.

The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched a public survey to gain feedback regarding the development of a new community park in Craigleith.

Over the past several years, the Town has strategically acquired six hectares of parkland in Craigleith from the Windfall, Second Nature, and Blue Vista development sites. The intent is to transform the land into a regional community park for all to enjoy over the next five years.
