Temporary Road Closure - Bruce Street South - December 9, 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. Bruce Street South in Thornbury will be closed from Louisa Street West to Highway 26 on Saturday, December 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This section of road will be fully closed for the Olde Fashioned Christmas event. Detour signage will be installed.

Temporary Road Closure - Victoria Street South - October 7, 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. Victoria Street South in Thornbury will be closed from Alfred Street West to Alice Street West on Saturday, October 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This closure is to accommodate the start/finish line of the Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club's Turkey Trot Half Marathon. Access will be maintained for residents living in the immediate area on Victoria Street and for staff from the Town's Water Division.

Temporary Local Use Only - 12th Sideroad - June 11, 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming "Local Use Only" road designation. Local traffic only will be permitted on 12th Sideroad from 10th Line to Grey Road 2 on Sunday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for The Blue Mountains Gravel Fondo cycling race. This temporary designation has been advised by the Ontario Provincial Police due to safety concerns.

Tree Planting Event Taking Place Saturday, September 24

The Town of The Blue Mountains is partnering with TreeTrust TBM and the Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club to hold two tree planting events on Saturday, September 24, 2022. All members of the public are invited to attend or volunteer at the events.

The event will see more than twenty-five large, eight-foot-tall trees planted at two locations in the Town. The first tree planting will take place at Heritage Park at 118 Kandahar Lane beginning at 10 a.m. The second tree planting will start at 2 p.m. at Delphi Point Park located at 209233 Highway 26.
