Notice of Public Meeting 

The purpose of this application is to consider a request to amend the detached accessory dwelling unit setback requirements of Zoning By-law 2018-65. The effect of the application is to recognize existing deficient building setbacks in order to permit the conversion of an existing detached accessory structure into an accessory apartment dwelling unit.

The amendment proposes to establish a site-specific exception to the property to recognize the current setbacks of the existing detached structure. The amendment would recognize an existing easterly interior side yard setback of 0.4m, whereas a minimum of 2.0m is required, and an existing front yard setback of 1.7m, whereas a minimum of 7.5m is required.

The lands are also subject to a concurrent Site Plan Application for the detached accessory dwelling unit and are legally described as Lot 8, Plan 389.
