The Town of The Blue Mountains is proud to recognize Small Business Week, taking place October 19 to 25, 2025, and celebrate the essential role that small businesses play in driving the local economy and enriching community life throughout the Town of The Blue Mountains. 

Small Business Week is an annual celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation that highlights the significant contributions of small businesses across Canada. This year, the Town is marking Small Business Week with two local events held in partnership with the Southern Georgian Bay Small Enterprise Centre and the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce. 

Send It with Jess Haney! Email Marketing for Small Businesses

  • When: Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Where: Town Hall (32 Mill Street, Thornbury) 

A hands-on workshop led by Jess Haney, an experienced email strategist, copywriter and business owner with over six years of experience in email marketing. This interactive session is designed to equip small business owners with tools and strategies to successfully grow their business through email.

Small Business Week Social 

  • When: Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Where: Town Hall (32 Mill Street, Thornbury)

An evening of connection and celebration of the small businesses at the heart of the community. The event will feature live music, a cash bar and food, providing opportunities for local business owners, entrepreneurs and community members to network, share ideas and discover new collaborations. The Town also extends its appreciation to the Thornbury Business Improvement Area, Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce, Blue Mountain Village Association and the Clarksburg Village Association, as well as all other business associations and support services for their commitment to supporting a vibrant small business community across The Blue Mountains, Grey County and Simcoe County.
