Town Launches Public Survey for Phase 1 of the Official Plan Review

Press Releases

The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched a public survey to gain community insight for Phase 1 of the Official Plan Review project. The survey will help the Town understand key priorities and themes to consider within the next phases of the project, where the updated vision statement and strategic direction will be confirmed.

The survey can be completed until April 29, 2022 and can be accessed by visiting the project webpage. Paper copies are available upon request by calling (519) 599-3131 x263 or through pickup at Town Hall and The Blue Mountains Public Library.

“The Official Plan Review is going to be the most important document that the Town can create to ensure that its long-term vision for growth and development is realized,” says Councillor and Chair of the Official Plan Review Steering Committee, Paula Hope. “It is the basis by which Council makes its decisions on development applications, changes in land use and community improvements. The Official Plan is the blueprint to our sustainable future.”

About the Official Plan Review

The Town of The Blue Mountains is updating its Official Plan through the process themed ‘The Blue Print’. The main goals of Phase 1 of the Official Plan Review are:
