We are seeking to fill the full-time position of Administrative Assistant – Building Services.

Position Overview:
- Provide administrative support to the Manager Building Services/CBO and other Division staff.
- Drafting Staff Reports, correspondence, and by-laws, maintaining department entries on CCAC & ensure timely completion of reports to Clerks for COW & Council meetings
- Provide effective and efficient administrative support, research and coordination as required within the Building Services Division, including all functions related to land use, building, development and property information services.
- To help the Town achieve higher performance by supporting the Building Division.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in a municipal building, development engineering and/or legal services environment or approved equivalent
- Requires successful completion of College level certificate in Business Office Administration (or similar)
- Requires at least one to two years’ experience in dealing with the public
- Word processing, spreadsheet and database computer skills required
- Requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain records and ensure reports are completed in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels in the organization and handle the stresses and pressures that are associated with the position with maturity and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
