The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce that the Fall 2025 intake period for applications to the Town's Community Improvement Plans (CIPs) will open on Monday, September 15, 2025. Applications will be accepted until Friday, October 17, 2025.
The Town has two Community Improvement Plans, which are detailed below:
- The Town-Wide Revitalization Community Improvement Plan encourages private property improvement and revitalization.
- The Housing Within Reach Community Improvement Plan facilitates the development of attainable housing.
The Town’s CIPs aim to serve as a long-term strategy to revitalize the community, improve residents' quality of life, better utilize under-developed properties and promote private investment in land and buildings through grants or loans to private property owners and tenants.
Interested applicants are encouraged to arrange a pre-application consultation with Town Staff to discuss and confirm application requirements. Following the consultation, applicants may submit a completed application form, including supporting documentation, for evaluation.
The Fall 2025 CIP intake is intended to support projects eligible under the existing CIPs while the Town works to improve and expand the program. The Town is in the process of retaining a consulting firm to lead the development of a new, comprehensive CIP, focused on enhancing affordable and attainable housing incentives, supporting local business and diversifying the economic base through innovative incentives. Additional details about this project, including opportunities for community engagement, will be shared as the work progresses.
