On behalf of the Town of The Blue Mountains, WT Infrastructure Solutions Inc. has completed the design and engineering for the Drake’s Path Wastewater Servicing Extension in Craigleith. The project has been tendered and awarded to Seeley and Arnill Construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in August 2022. Construction activity will be occurring along the entire length of Drake’s Path from County Road 19 to the south end of Drake’s Path.

Project Scope
- Installation of a new sanitary sewer from County Road 19 to the last property on the street including the installation of services to each property.
- Construction of a new cul-de-sac at the end of Drake’s Path to facilitate safer turning movement of vehicles including waste management, snow removal and emergency vehicles.
- Minor drainage improvements associated with the construction of the cul-de-sac.
- Relocation of an existing fire hydrant to an improved location for access.
- Tree removals as required for service laterals and construction of cul-de-sac.
- Restoration of disturbed areas to match existing conditions.
What To Expect
You may experience traffic delays, lane restrictions, dust, noise, vibrations, and other inconveniences during construction. The Town will make efforts to reduce the impacts, and appreciates your patience. OZA Inspections Ltd. will also be visiting residences to conduct voluntary pre-construction building condition surveys.
Works will be occurring within Town property. Should you have any concerns during construction, please contact the Field Ambassador. The Town will not be responsible for damage to any privately owned items on Town property.
Work Hours
Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Work after hours and on weekends will be completed as required. The Contractor will be required to request approval from Town Council prior to completing any work outside of regular hours.
Service Interruptions
Water service may be temporarily interrupted. Impacted residents will be notified in advance in writing.
Road Access
In order to complete the work in a safe manner, there will be restrictions and temporary closures on the road within the construction work zone. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. The road will be signed for local traffic only throughout construction.
Driveway Access
The contractor will notify you of any temporary restrictions to your driveway access.
Traffic Management
Minor traffic delays will occur within the construction zone when active construction is occurring. Longer delays or closures may occur when restoration work is taking place. Residents will be notified in advance if their property will have significantly restricted access during construction.
Parking
Street parking in the active work zone is not permitted due to space requirements for construction equipment and materials.
Garbage and Recycling
Please follow your normal routine for garbage and recycling collection. If required, the contractor will move bins to an appropriate location and return them. Please ensure that you label your bins with your address.
Restoration
The construction work area will be restored to pre-existing conditions including laying of sod, hydroseed or granulars where required. Granular driveways and shoulders will be restored where they presently exist. Laying of sod will be done as needed during ideal growing seasons only.
Additional Information
Our Field Ambassador will be reaching out to residents in the field to confirm the locations of sanitary services to the property line to coordinate with the private servicing to be completed by each resident on their property.
