Hillside

Work will be completed Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and to 7:00 pm, in accordance with town by-laws. Work after hours, on statutory holidays, or on weekends will be completed only if necessary and as required. The Contractor will be required to request approval from Town Council prior to completing any work outside of regular hours. 

In accordance with the Town Noise Control By-law 2002-9, residents should expect some noise from construction activities during working hours. The Town requires the developer to make their best efforts to reduce nuisances when possible. If construction nuisances persist, please contact the Development Engineering department.

Minor traffic delays will occur within the construction area during active construction. Residents may see increased traffic volume due to construction vehicles, dump trucks, and site crews operating throughout the development activity. We ask that residents be aware of posted construction signage and workers in the area. 

Should a road or lane closure be required throughout development activity, residents will be notified in advance through road signs posted in the vicinity of the closure. 

The developer is responsible for maintaining clean and safe roads throughout construction until assumption. Residents should expect muddy and dusty conditions during some construction activities; however, mitigation measures to address onsite and off-site dust and mud tracking will be taken where possible.

The possibility of vibrations due to compaction equipment during construction is not anticipated to be significant, but residents should protect valuables that may be susceptible to damage due to vibration.

Garbage collection will begin once collection vehicles can safely access homes in the new subdivision. Until access is safe for collection vehicles, homeowners should contact the developer for garbage collection details. 

Residents can also use waste disposal and diversion services at the Landfill & Recycling Depot, located at 788090 Grey Road 13. Recycling boxes and green bins can be purchased at Town Hall or the Landfill & Recycling Depot during business hours. 

The developer and/or condominium board are responsible for snow removal in unassumed subdivisions and condominium developments. All provincial regulators and Town by-laws, including the parking By-law, are in effect before assumption. 

Assumption of a new subdivision means that the Town has assumed responsibility for maintaining all municipal services for the subdivision from the developer. Please note that assumption of condominiums does not include municipal maintenance of roads. 

For concerns related to services in a subdivision before assumption, including roads, water and wastewater, storm systems, streetlights, and trails, please contact the developer.

• Staff Report PDS.19.139 was presented at the Committee of the Whole meeting on November 18, 2019. This report provides staff recommendation to enact a Zoning By-law Amendment to rezone the subject lands from ‘R1-2’ to ‘R1-1’. The Committee voted in favour of the motion, which was carried out at the December 2, 2019, Council Meeting.
